Building The AI Teacher's Aide

Helping the Kids

We know that our teachers (kaiako) are doing it tough, especially with Teacher's Aides being thin on the ground. It often means the awesome kids who need a bit of extra help can miss out. To sort this, we’ve been mucking in with some brilliant local kids to suss out an AI Teacher's Aide. This gadget is being developed to be a quick, clever backup, helping teachers tailor their lessons, keep students focused, and generally lend a hand. By using this AI, we're aiming to beef up the teacher's capability, making sure every student gets the dedicated, fair go they deserve.

Universal Accessibility Tool

A chrome extension for every website

Fumbling around on the internet shouldn't be a nightmare. We’ve come up with the Universal Accessibility Tool (UAT)—a decent, easy solution that gets rid of the annoying digital roadblocks on any website. This tool lets users give any webpage a facelift and a function boost in 17 different ways instantly. Whether it's swapping to dyslexia-friendly fonts, changing the colours for better contrast, or adding reading guides, the UAT makes sure the information is easy to chew on, no matter if you've got trouble seeing, moving, or processing information. It’s our way of helping to make the whole internet a lot more welcoming and accessible for everyone.

Road to Kindness

Gaming Series

We are thrilled to be developing our Kindness Series of Games, kicking off with our first title on Roblox: Road to Kindness. This isn't your average game, mate. It’s all about making good choices. In Road to Kindness, players navigate a world free of violence or adult themes—it’s simply a bright, positive space where every action is a chance to show kindness. Players are rewarded naturally by seeing the positive ripple effect their helpful deeds have. Crucially, every success and interaction within the Road to Kindness game series is designed to help fund and sustain our charitable trust. By engaging with the game, the next generation is directly contributing to our TechMate programme, our accessibility tool development, and our ongoing efforts to close the digital divide across Aotearoa.
